Description:
concept from Neo-gothic to contemporary / Buda Castle / 2018-2019
scale, structure research ornamentation and pattern development for new and renewed non historical parts of protected building of castle
Neo-gothic palace located in the castle of the Hungarian capital. The original building by Sandor Fellner and his studio from 1904 got hit in 1945. The reconstruction of the historical, representative parts was followed by newly designed extensions connected thorough non representative segments.
The development of ornamental research is the result of one consistent concept from historical to deconstructed contemporary sets of designs founded on a basic geometrical understanding of the original architectural concept called the “modulus”.
